Cookie Policy

This page explains which cookies and similar tools MeriPac (meripac.it) uses, what they are for and how you can decide about them. It provides the information required by Articles 12 and 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and by the cookie rules.

Data controller

The data controller, that is, the party who decides how and why the personal data collected through this site are used, is:

Antonio Morlino
Via Arrigo Benedetti, 13, 00159 Rome
VAT number / tax code: IT04060650712
Email: info@meripac.it

How the site uses other personal data, for example data sent through a form, is explained in the Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser and reads again on later pages or visits. Other tools work in a similar way: browser storage, tracking pixels, identifiers calculated from device characteristics. On this page, "cookies" refers to all of them.

A cookie is first-party when it is saved under the address of this site, and third-party when it is saved under the address of another company, for example the one providing an embedded video.

This site's cookies

Necessary

These cookies are used to display the site, keep it secure and provide what you ask for, for example staying logged in or remembering your cookie choice. They do not require consent (Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC; in Italy, Article 122 of the Privacy Code), so they cannot be disabled from the panel.

Statistics

These cookies measure how the site is used. They are set only if you allow the Statistics category: the legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).

Marketing

These cookies are used to show advertising, to measure its results and, for some providers, to build a profile of your interests across different sites. They are set only if you allow the Marketing category: the legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).

The site does not currently use cookies of this type.

A name ending with * indicates all names that begin that way.

Other companies and transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some cookies belong to services provided by other companies. These companies receive the data collected through their cookies and may also use it for their own purposes, as described in their privacy policies.

  • Google Ireland Limited (Ireland) — privacy policy. Data may be transferred to the United States. Google Ireland Limited states that it is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission deemed adequate in its decision of 10 July 2023, and that it also relies on standard contractual clauses.

Your choice: how to give, change or withdraw consent

On your first visit, a banner asks you to choose: you can accept all cookies, reject the optional ones (closing the banner with the X has the same effect) or choose category by category. No optional cookies are stored before you make your choice, and rejecting does not limit your use of the site.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, as easily as you gave it: Cookie preferences.

When you withdraw a category, the site deletes the first-party cookies of that category from your browser. Third-party cookies are stored under another company's address: you can delete them from your browser settings.

Your choice is remembered for 180 days. The banner asks you again when this period has passed, when you delete this site's cookies, or when the cookies used change significantly, for example when a new company is involved.

You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Blocking the necessary ones may prevent some parts of the site from working.

The record of your choice

In order to be able to demonstrate consent (Article 7(1) of the GDPR), the site keeps a record of each choice: a random identifier stored in the choice cookie, date and time, the categories chosen, the version of this policy, the page and the browser type. The IP address is stored without its last part. The record is kept for 24 months and is not used for anything else. You can read your identifier in the cookie preferences panel.

Your rights

You can ask the controller for access to your personal data, their rectification or erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to processing (Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR). Write to info@meripac.it: you will receive a reply within one month.

If you believe that your data is being processed in breach of the law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of the country where you live or work (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or go to court.

The controller does not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects concerning you.
